Orlin & Cohen Orthopedic Group welcomes new director of sports medicine development

Bohemia, NY (January 28, 2019) – Orlin & Cohen Orthopedic Group, Long Island’s leading orthopedic practice, is pleased to announce the appointment of Raymond J. Nelson as director of sports medicine development.

With more than 35 years of experience in the sports medicine industry, Mr. Nelson’s career includes working with the New York Islanders, New York Jets and several Major League Baseball (MLB) and National Football League (NFL) players.

At Orlin & Cohen, Mr. Nelson will bring his wealth of experience to further develop the practice’s sports medicine program. He will work directly with orthopedic and sports medicine physicians, physical therapists, athletic trainers, school districts, athletic organizations and the physically active of Long Island.

Prior to joining Orlin & Cohen, Mr. Nelson was the sports medicine development coordinator for St. Charles Hospital in Port Jefferson.

He is a resident of Coram and graduated with a B.S. Education – Athletic Training & Sports Medicine from Long Island University/CW Post.
