Orlin & Cohen Orthopedic Group Acquires Healthcare Associates in Medicine of Staten Island

Orlin & Cohen expands presence in New York City market

MERRICK, NY —The Orlin & Cohen Orthopedic Group, Long Island’s leading orthopedic practice and an affiliate of Northwell Health, has acquired Healthcare Associates in Medicine (HCA), with four clinical offices across Staten Island and two part-time offices in Brooklyn, as well as MRI, therapy and laboratory facilities.

In addition to its Kew Gardens office (currently under construction), these will be the first Orlin & Cohen offices located in New York City. Orlin & Cohen is headquartered in Merrick, NY.

The acquisition represents a significant geographic expansion for Orlin & Cohen, currently with offices in Nassau and Suffolk Counties on Long Island. HCA is a major and well-established practice with decades of connections in the community.

Healthcare Associates in Medicine brings 18 physicians to Orlin & Cohen

Its 18 doctors include orthopedists, neurosurgeons, neurologists and interventional pain physicians, as well as a team of neuropsychologists.

The HCA office will continue to be clinically led by John Reilly, MD, and Glenn Babus, DO.
