The Orlin & Cohen Orthopedic Group Acquires Max Effort Sports Physical Therapy Practice

Continued Growth for Long Island’s Leading Orthopedic Group

Merrick, NY (November 26, 2019) – The Orlin & Cohen Orthopedic Group, Long Island’s leading orthopedic practice and an affiliate of Northwell Health, has acquired Max Effort Sports Physical Therapy as a key step in expanding its Suffolk County Sports Medicine program.  Jonathan Belmonte, DPT, Founder of Max Effort PT, and his staff will see patients at the Orlin & Cohen Orthopedic Group’s Bohemia and Port Jefferson offices.

Jon Belmonte is a Sports Certified Specialist and has been practicing outpatient Physical Therapy since 2007. A former collegiate lacrosse player, he has developed a successful sports recovery program that helps athletes return to play after injury. He is also ImPACT concussion certified and has designed a treatment program for all athletes affected by concussions that helps them to return to sports quickly and safely. ImPACT is an FDA-cleared medical device that is used by healthcare, educational, and sports organizations to help assess and manage concussions.
