Jonathan M. Gross, M.D., M.P.H., is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon at Orlin & Cohen. With a deep interest in the treatment of complex fractures and injuries resulting from traumatic events, Dr. Gross has garnered recognition for his exceptional skills, delivering top-tier care and improving his patients’ quality of life. His interest extends to the treatment of arthritis. A native New Yorker, Dr. Gross started his higher academic journey graduating Magna Cum Laude from Hamilton College. After a year of research at the Hospital for Special Surgery, he matriculated at the Columbia University, where he concurrently earned his master’s degree in public health and his medical degree from the prestigious College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia University. Dr. Gross has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications for prestigious medical journals. He is a sought-after speaker at national conferences and a regular educator at national and regional meetings, sharing insights into innovative treatments for femur and pelvic fracture care.
Dr. Gross is also a founding surgeon of the Center for Hip and Knee Replacement of Staten Island University Hospital South Campus, where he continues providing exceptional patient-centered care to his community. In addition to his professional pursuits, Dr. Gross enjoys outdoor activities, such as mountaineering, where he accomplished summiting Mount Kilimanjaro, showcasing his drive extends to life beyond medicine.
