On July 27 I fell in my kitchen and knew I broke my wrist immediately. I went to Mather hospital in Port Jefferson. I was immediately taken to ex ray. The nurses informed me that they notified the orthopedist who was leaving for the day that I was there and was going to need to see an orthopedist. Dr. Reizner returned to the hospital immediately and was at my bedside as soon as he read my x-ray. I did not know who the orthopedist was going to be until he appeared at my bedside in the ER. I knew who Dr Reizner was because I went to him when I broke my finger several months before. This break was a lot more serious. Dr Reizner explained my situation in length with my husband and I, distal radius surgery would be needed to repair my wrist. He said he could do the surgery the next day with a promise I would be feeling better in 24 hours. Thankfully he came through on that promise! Dr Reizner wanted me to stay over night so all the pretesting could be done followed by surgery the first thing in the morning. He promised I would be taken care of and home by two o’clock the next day. The surgery went just as he told me and I was home by 2 the following day. Dr. Reizner is one of the most compassionate, knowledgeable doctors I know. He took the time to explain the procedure as well as the after care to me in full detail. I felt comfortable and assured that I was in good hands. I would highly recommend Dr Reizner to anyone that needs a great orthopedist. My recovery was amazing and my range of motion was restored to normal thanks to the immediate care that I received from Dr. Reizner.
