I am a Division 2 college soccer player. In October 2025 during a normal morning practice, my knee locked up and I was in severe pain. I was being treated by my schools' athletic trainer, since at the time their main goal was to get me back on the field. Pain persisted, so off to the doctor I went(Not Orlin & Cohen affiliated). I had a medial and lateral meniscus tear, healing bone bruise on my tibial plateau, and a bunch of other muscle overuse injuries. This ended my Junior year season after only playing half my scheduled games. Personally, I decided to take the rehab route before jumping into surgery. The new year rolls around and I still have pain so this time we scheduled surgery, which was successful. Spring semester begins in late Jan '26 and I begin my post surgery rehab with my schools' AT. Couple of weeks & months go by and I felt like my progress was not up to par based on what my orthopedic surgeon has said it should be. Surely I progressed, but I knew something was still not right. I had lingering pain in my knee, so during a follow up visit I mentioned it. Patellar Tendonitis it is! I decided it was time to see an outside Physical Therapist to resolve my knee issues. I came to begin PT with Landon in April '26. Right away I felt welcomed, reassured, and motivated to begin working with him and all the other staff. Each week I got stronger, more flexible, more stable, and experienced less and less pain...eventually none! I became more confident that I would return to the field for my senior season. Even when I had flare ups within my knee, Landon handled it smoothly and readjusted my PT plan in order to give me the best opportunities. My goal coming into PT was to be strong enough to play soccer again. After months and months of uncertainty and with the excellent help from Landon I am ready to start and compete in my soccer season next week!
