Orlin and Cohen Orthopedics and Physical Therapy Today, after eight weeks of physical therapy, I have been released. This was my second hip replacement in four years. This time the surgical approach was anterior vs posterior and I had the knowledge of all the things to do before surgery and during recovery. My surgical team lead by Dr. Bradley Gerber both times, gave me two fancy titanium/ceramic dual modality working hip joints. The physical therapy team lead by Nicole (PT), with Jason (PT), Jason and Justin (PT assistants), among others, worked with me at my level for me to regain strength and mobility. Each session was well thought out with the exercise plan, and as time went by, the exercises changed with my abilities. Working with Nicole and discussing goals, we came up with a time table to return to the gym (week four) modifying exercises and working in a PT ones as well. Today I have my full range of motion and strength, and I can return to all the activities in my arsenal, only with some precautions. The facility at the Bellmore location is spacious, the entire staff is very friendly and there is plenty of parking, making it very easy to come and go. I would highly recommend this team to anyone who needs some PT to alleviate any physical issues, especially post surgery.
