I lived with a constant dull pain in my shoulder. That dull ache stayed with me all the time and increased to a sharp pain should I use the arm at all. Using my arm to turn the steering wheel while driving was too painful. In order to sleep, I strategically positioned 5 pillows around me to limit my movement and reduce the pain and discomfort that remained with me 24/7. From the moment I arrived at Orlin & Cohen, PT department, I was greeted by the most professional front desk staff, who not was helpful but knew my name and made we feel welcome each time I arrived. As a working person, I needed hours that would accommodate me not missing work. The 7am appointments were such a blessing! My PT assessment visit was with Leslie Bernstein, she is amazing. She took her time assessing me and made me feel comfortable during the process. Her questions were thoughtful, and she listened to what was important to me. She was like a PT detective, as she observed, listened and noted when and where there was pain or limitation. She made me feel like figuring out a PT plan of action that would work for me, was important to her. My follow-up PT visits alternated between Leslie and Anthony Morelli. Anthony kept me laughing and motivated the entire time I was there. Anthony educated me on how the rotator cuff works and why the particular exercises were important in the process all the while assessing for pain and tolerance levels. This mixture of humor, professionalism and skill, kept me motivated and on the road to recovery. After a few months of PT, I am pain free!
