I have been suffering from lateral and medial epicondylitis in both elbows for nearly eight years. Doctor Keefer (Orlin & Cohen) and I have managed this chronic condition over the years with cortisone shots, acupuncture, massage and physical therapy. We are trying to avoid surgery at all costs. Recently, it was becoming more severe than I was used to and the cortisone shot was already used, hence, we tried physical therapy once again. Here is where I met Nicole Kerr. We had an honest first discussion about the diagnosis and expectations from our sessions. I expressed my reservations about physical therapy centers becoming factories where therapists have multiple patients at one time and not enough eyes or time to focus on their care. However, Nicole assured me my past experiences would not repeat here as she would partner with me on my healing. Well, in my experience with Nicole and the team, her words were matched by her actions. She kept a watchful eye on me and really sought to educate me on my condition and how I could best manage it moving forward. Nicole was fully transparent with me, stressing that the work outside the facility was paramount in keeping my condition at bay. Her colleagues, Richard, Ronnie, Jason and another colleague who's name escapes me presently, followed suit and kept me on track throughout my stay at the Bellmore facility. In fact, Nicole, while attending a recent conference, even thought of me enough to share some valuable information she'd learned at the conference that might help me further relieve my symptoms. I was so impressed with that "can do, care do" attitude. In closing, the strength in my arms increased while the pain lessened. The exercises were working and my understanding grew greater from the knowledge Nicole instilled in me. Even when I feel strained, I am able to recover quickly. I am very thankful I met Nicole who is quite the popular therapist as you can see by her workload. I've already recommended my neighbor to see her. So, thank you Nicole.
