I experienced a fractured proximal humerus after I had been hit by a motor vehicle crossing the street. From the very first day of treatment, Dr. Lenhart was thoughtful and encouraging. He reviewed the options that I had for recovering from my humorous break and we decided to use them more conservative approach and not have surgery. My recovery has been remarkable. At each office visit he was friendly and supportive. He was always praising my progress, which encouraged me to continue with the exercises necessary for my recovery. He is truly an exceptional doctor. Credit for my exceptional progress should be given to the physical therapist at the Bellmore office, Nicole Kerr. With every visit, she challenged me to work harder and not be afraid. Nicole’s knowledge and skill in knowing what exercises to perform to help me regain use of my arm, enabled me to return to a good range of motion very early on. Never without a smile, Nicole made physical therapy something I wanted to come to. The more I came the quicker my recovery. With Nicole’s physical manipulation of my arm, coupled with the exercises that I performed at the Bellmore facility, I could feel and see progress with each session. If I ever needed physical therapy, I would most certainly return to Orlin Cohen and request Nicole Kerr. She is an asset to Northwell Health.
