Sometime in November, I reached out for something on my night table and outstretched my left arm too far. I felt something pull from my shoulder to my hand. The pain was quite bad, so I went to have it looked at. After my MRI, it showed that I had a full thickness tear in my inferior glenohumeral ligament and high grade inferior labral tear, in addition to mild arthritis, I was then referred to Orlin and Cohen for physical therapy in Bohemia. I started physical therapy twice a week. I was very fortunate to work with Eileen Duswalt-Agostino and Richard Viskewich. They were both amazing! Eileen and Rich were very patient with me when it was time to start my physical therapy exercises. In the beginning, it was quite uncomfortable using my arm due to my injury, As the weeks progressed, Eileen and Rich knew my boundaries but helped me move a little more to alleviate the discomfort overtime. It was incredible how they knew exactly where in the shoulder area my injury was. The exercises and massages in that area have made my arm feel like new! In addition, the staff in the Bohemia office is just as wonderful! They were always so friendly, welcomed me each time by my first name and helped me with the exercises I struggled with. March 19th was my last visit. I will truly miss them all! If I ever need physical therapy again, I will very happily return to this facility! Thank you Orlin and Cohen for having the incredible staff that you do and for helping me regain the full use my left arm again!! I am truly grateful!
