Dr James Germano was a wonderful surgeon. He performed my surgery on Feb 2, 2023. That morning I was very nervous & he made me feel at ease. He was very caring & explained once again what was going to happen with language that I was able to understand. He told me he & his staff would take great care of me. The surgery went off without a hitch. He visited me after my surgery & told me everything went as planned & it looked great. He said I will be getting up walking that day & also doing stairs. I couldn't believe that I was able to do exactly that & was discharged the very next day with strict instructions to follow-up with PT for a few months. Fast forward to 3 months & I am almost completely healed & doing great. Thank you Dr Germano. I would also like to compliment the Orlin & Cohen Physical Therapy Dept in Bohemia. I worked with Eileen Duswalt PT for my first consultation & she assessed my situation - mobility, strength & limitations. She worked out a plan to follow in house as well as my home therapy. She was so patient with me when I thought I couldn't do anymore she would be my cheerleader saying just one more. I also worked with Rich Viskewich PTA. He was the most patient with me as I would tell him I couldn't do something & he would tell me we will do it together. I wouldn't have come so far in my rehabilitation without Eileen & Rich. Thanks to both of them from the bottom of my heart I love you all!
