I have been suffering from carpal tunnel in both hands, more severe in the right hand. Dr. Grossman first did a steroid shot which was just took the edge off the pain. Physical therapy - heat and massage - gives only short-term relief. I finally went for the surgery at the hospital. Was given instructions on what to do during recuperation. The only bugger was not being able to get the hand wet for some time, I have not had any ill effect, I am able to use my hand normally. I should have done this a long time ago but then I would not have had Dr. Grossman to do it. (Was seeing other doctors off and on). Dr. Grossman is efficient, explains things well, I highly recommend her for any hand issues. Almost forgot - She also took care of my trigger finger which was an even quicker procedure done with local anesthesia.
