My shoulder was injured due to a fall on the ice 18 months ago. I tore my rotator cuff and it was irreparably damaged. I went to Orlin and Cohen for treatment. They prescribed physical therapy and I met Bobby Nabeyama at the Lynbrook location. I have been working with Bobby and his knowledge, compassion, professionalism all contributed to my strengthening my shoulder to overcome the injury as best as possible. He is smart, devoted to his craft, compassionate and patient, and he is incredibly knowledgeable about the injury I sustained and how best to overcome the restrictions it presented. I have come a long way thanks to Bobby, and without his time devoted to me at my therapy sessions I would be nowhere near where I am in my recovery from the injury. In late June I had surgery on the shoulder to install a spacer in the joint to provide support and make the shoulder more useful. Bobby is now working on helping me to strengthen the shoulder with the spacer in it, using different techniques to challenge the muscles, and to train them to respond and compensate for the damaged area. Bobby has adapted his therapy to fit my revised needs based upon the surgery. Once again I am seeing improvement and feeling stronger, and always challenged to achieve better results. I know that without Bobby's help I would be nowhere near as improved as I am. I recommend that anyone who has suffered a similar injury seek out Bobby for therapy.
