I tore my ACL in 2019 at the age of 42. After meeting with Dr. Price and reviewing all options, we agreed on surgery using donor tissue. The procedure went smoothly. I was home that day, began walking with just a crutch within a week and the pain was minimal, mainly discomfort. I was really worried that my activities were going to be permanently limited after surgery or that I would have to alter my lifestyle drastically.
I am happy to share that since the surgery and PT, I have resumed all my previous activities and added some new ones! I hiked two mountains this June in Acadia National Park and look forward to hiking more in the future. Dr. Price, his team and everyone at the office were great to work with. They made me feel comfortable with what was happening and explained each step thoroughly so there were no surprises. Thank you for taking such good care of me and my knee!
