I was referred to physical therapy by an Orthopedic Back Specialists in Jan. 2024 for sciatica pain. I received physical therapy at Orlin and Cohen in Garden City and I was evaluated by Stephanie Ringbauer, PT, DPT. Stephanie is very pleasant and she makes you feel comfortable. She created an exercise program that was tailored for sciatica. She gave me reassurance that my pain will eventually diminish. However, she emphasized the importance of home exercises which she provided in a handout. During my evaluation, Stephanie was very gentle which I appreciated because of my intense pain. Unfortunately, I was not available to go to physical therapy the days Stephanie worked late. However, I still had a connection because she was my evaluator. My physical therapy was extended and I saw Stephanie a couple of times. She commented on my progress and was very pleased. My final evaluation, she gave me a handout with additional exercises and resistance bands. Most of all, Stephanie really put me up to the challenge with intense exercises and I was able to deliver. This was a great way to end my physical therapy. Furthermore, I recommend physical therapy at Orlin and Cohen in Garden City based on my rewarding progress.
