I had gotten a very disappointing diagnosis from Dr. Lenart: my painful shoulder was a result of a torn rotator cuff that lead to arthritis in the joint. The only surgical intervention was a reverse shoulder replacement. However, my age suggests that I would need several more adjustments and my level of pain wasn’t consistent with the need for surgery. Imagine that: “This sucks but your not in enough pain and you may have to repeat this several time”. Dr. Lenart listened carefully to my concerns and recommended physical therapy to strengthen the muscle around the joint. I choose to go to the associated Physical Therapy practice and I am so happy that I did! My first team was great but PT schedule did not fit in with my busy working schedule. I re-started in the summer with Leslie and Anthony. They were awesome. The range of motion in my affected shoulder is almost identical to the “good” shoulder. The number of times that it is painful are almost non existent. No more worries about sudden movements resulting in sharp pain. I still have arthritis in my shoulder. (Did you know that you can hear arthritis?) But I have almost no pain. So no shoulder replacement any time soon. And, I am looking forward to going back to doing yoga on a regular basis. I am so grateful to the team of professionals at Orlin and Cohen. My shoulder and I are so grateful! Thank you, Tonya
