When I came to Matt, I was suffering severely from multiple injuries. I had scapular pain so severe my family couldn’t hug me tightly. I couldn’t help moving furniture around the house and I couldn’t participate in sports and activities I enjoy like weightlifting. I also had such severe hip pain that I couldn’t bike or run. I received treatment for both of these injuries from multiple physical therapists prior to seeing Matt. None of their treatments helped. I got to the point where I thought I’d be like that forever and there was no fix. I felt completely disenchanted with the effectiveness of physical therapy, I thought these issues were chronic. And I thought at only the age of 24 that I was doomed to live in pain forever and have a limited active life. From the beginning of my treatment with Matt, he made specific effort to understand exactly what was causing the issue and just as importantly, he helped me understand what was wrong. He communicated to me with confidence and leadership in a way no other physical therapist has before. His confidence immediately reassured me that he would be the person who would be able to fix my issues. He fixed my issues and then gave me clear directions and plans to continue my progression when I graduate from physical therapy. I went from being in constant back pain to now being able to row my own body weight for 10 reps. I went from being in so much knee and hip pain that just standing during my job as a teacher, instructing students, to now having the confidence to train for a half Ironman. Matt not only healed me completely communicated effectively and shown genuine care in my recovery, but he also gave me a new outlook on life and a new clean bill of health. Matt is by far the most extraordinary healthcare professional I have ever experienced in my entire life. I will be forever grateful to him and by extension Orlin And Cohen.
