I have to thank Dr. Ticker as he has done it again. My first review was probably a year ago (summer/fall 2021) after Dr. Ticker did rotator cuff surgery/shaving a bone on my right/dominant shoulder. It was an amazing success and for the first time in probably over a decade I was able to properly throw a baseball again. Fast forward 1 more year, and 1 more shoulder (left side) to review. Dr. Ticker basically did the same surgery on the left as he did on the right one year prior. I like the fact that Dr. Ticker is very upfront and tells it to you the way it is. Before the second surgery he said each body part heals differently and it may not be as successful as the first due to the size of the tear and the fact that the body heals in its own way/time. Dr. Ticker was absolutely right… After the first surgery I would say it took my shoulder about 10-16 weeks to really feel good and I was extremely satisfied with the recovery progress and mobility. Second surgery was completely different….3 weeks after surgery my lef shoulder was feeling so good that I went under my Jeep and installed motor mounts (I know I really shouldnt have been doing anything like that my shoulder recovered very fast and I felt amazing… lol). I didn’t mention that story to get myself in trouble with the Dr. Ticker because I know the lecture I got after I told him the story lol. I only mention that story because it proves his point that although the recovery was different for each shoulder they both feel great and I have close to 100% mobility in both. If the surgeries were reversed and I healed in three weeks from the first one, I would’ve definitely thought there was something wrong if the second one took 10+ weeks to feel good. But the bottom line is I’m writing this 9 months after my 2nd shoulder was repaired by Dr Ticker and I feel great…..only regret was waiting too many years to feel this good again. Thanks Dr. Ticker!!
