Dr. Garroway receives years of service award at South Nassau Hospital

On June 4, 2013, Dr. Robert Garroway received the Years of Service Award from South Nassau Communities Hospital for his 30 years of service to the hospital. Dr. Garroway is an attending orthopedic surgeon at South Nassau Communities Hospital and a part of the Sports Medicine team at Orlin & Cohen Orthopedic Group. He was assistant chief of Orthopedic Surgery at South Nassau from 1985 to 2003.

Dr. Garroway has fellowship training in sports medicine, hand surgery as well as in arthroscopic surgery. He is currently on the Board of the New York State Society of Orthopedic Surgeons and on the Health Policy Committee of the Arthroscopy Association of North America.

In addition to Dr. Garroway receiving the award, Dr. Levitz was also recognized for 15 years of service, Dr. Shapiro for 10 years of service, and Drs. Faust, Germano & Keefer for 5 years of service.
