Dr. Ticker has co-edited two textbooks on shoulder surgery, including An Atlas of Shoulder Surgery (1998) and An Atlas of Shoulder Arthroscopy (2003).

His clinical and basic science research has focused on the shoulder, and his recent national and international presentations have been on arthroscopic shoulder repair techniques. His next article in ARTHROSCOPY, is titled “Why Repair the Subscapularis: A Logical Rationale,” co-authored with Dr. Stephen Burkhart.

Dr. Ticker served as chair of the Medical Committee for the United States Golf Association’s 2002 & 2009 US Open Championships at the Bethpage Black Course. He is an active member in a number of national and international societies, including the American Shoulder & Elbow Surgeons and the Arthroscopy Association of North America, and currently chairs the Research Committee for AANA.
