Steven L. Parry, D.O., is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine and hip preservation at Orlin & Cohen. Leveraging his extensive expertise, he is dedicated to delivering personalized treatment plans that improve experiences and outcomes – helping his patients live more active lives, free from pain.
Dedicated to providing comprehensive orthopedic care, Dr. Parry is trained in the latest treatments and techniques, including both primary and revision hip arthroscopy, periacetabular osteotomies, open and endoscopic gluteal tendon repairs, open and endoscopic hamstring repair, endoscopic treatment of ischiofemoral impingement, and minimally invasive total hip replacement through both anterior and posterior approaches, including bikini incision total hip arthroplasty. Dr. Parry remains at the forefront of his field as a member of the Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics, and the AO Trauma Foundation.
Before joining Orlin & Cohen, Dr. Parry completed his sports medicine fellowship in New Orleans at the Ochsner Andrews Sports Medicine Institute where he was an associate team physician for the NFL’s New Orleans Saints and the NBA’s New Orleans Pelicans. He was also an associate team physician for multiple local high schools and colleges. During this year, Dr. Parry gained valuable experience in both operative and non-operative management of sports and athletic injuries as well as sideline management of acute athletic injuries.
Following his year in New Orleans, Dr. Parry completed an additional year of training at Duke University dedicated to hip preservation and hip replacement surgery including periacetabular osteotomies, primary and revision hip arthroscopy, open and endoscopic gluteal tendon repairs, open and endoscopic hamstring repair, endoscopic treatment of ischiofemoral impingement, and minimally invasive total hip replacement through both anterior and posterior approaches, including bikini incision total hip arthroplasty.
As a former collegiate ice hockey player, Dr Parry understands the challenges athletes and active individuals face firsthand. Dr. Parry shares his knowledge to deliver the best possible care to each of his patients.
