I wanted to take a moment to let you know how incredibly helpful, professional and dedicated Chris McCormack is to his craft and to his patients. Back in February, I sustained a serious injury to my leg and ankle requiring surgery, 13 screws and a plate. I was immobile for 12 weeks and Dr. Zaret recommended your facility for my physical therapy. I started in May, the first possible date and have not missed a session since. I had never broken a bone or had a serious injury before, and I was concerned about the state of my leg, my inability to walk and my future. After a few weeks of therapy, I noticed I was plateauing and my range of motion was not improving and I was worried. This is where Chris comes in. During a session, he walked over, spoke to me and the therapist I was working with, and suggested I work with him. He had the confidence and the professionalism to know that I needed more support and he would be the one to help me. We decided that I should start working with Chris. Chris had been observing me the past few weeks and overhead my concerns. He saw my motivation to get better and knew he was the one to help me reach my goal of walking and returning to my active lifestyle. He was absolutely right! Within 2 visits, I had a greater range of motion, less pain, a good understanding of what happened to my leg and the exercises he was going to do to help me. He also gave me a number of exercises I could do at home to help further my recovery. But more importantly, Chris gave me hope. Every visit, Chris gives 100% effort to explain what he is doing, how my leg is reacting, why I am feeling pain, and to tell me that with hard work, continued therapy and time, I will be okay. His dedication to his profession and his knowledge, are evident in every session. I hope you realize what an incredible therapist he is. I am a teacher in the community and run a special education program in Rockville Centre. Without hesitation, I recommend Chris to whomever may need a Physical Therapist. I still have a long way to go, but each visit with Chris gives me the hope and confidence that one day, I just might forget I broke my leg.
