I came for an analysis of hip pain from running. I'm a long time runner and cyclist, and while I could still bike, running was too painful. I've run 15 marathons, ironman events, etc., and running was my original and for many years primary form of exercise. While I now split my endurance pursuits between running and biking, I certainly didn't want to give up running. I've had several injuries that were easy to overcome, muscle strains, twisted ankles, ITB, etc. This hip pain was different. Rest (from running) for five weeks didn't solve the issue. Stretching didn't solve the issue. I was freaked out my running career was over. That's when OC and in particular Dr. Magrini and James Curley came to the rescue. James put me on a regimen of stretching and strengthening exercises and in just four weeks I was back testing the hip on the treadmill. A couple more sessions to work on the hip, flexibility, and strength and after seven weeks I'm back baby! 5 mile run today and all good. Will gradually rebuild to longer distances. Can't thank James and OC enough for getting me back on stride!!
