I was injured at work a few months ago (partially torn labrum) and my doctor recommended physical therapy. I'm a gym guy and a bit of an athlete so initially I was very skeptical. I thought, what could physical therapy teach me that I don't already know? What benefit could I possibly hope to achieve with some stretches and range of motion exercises? But I went anyway because I figured why not, what could it hurt? Now a couple months later I couldn't possibly be happier that I made that choice. I started working with Alex and not only did he have me doing things I would have never thought of on my own, surprisingly to me they actually worked! With my injury I had seriously restricted range of motion in my left shoulder and now I can actually use it somewhat normally again. He also identified some areas of weakness that if strengthened would help take some of the stress of the injury. He's taken me from skeptic to believer in only a few months and now I find myself really enjoying the sessions and looking forward to them and finding out what new things he has in store for me each day. The therapy center is a fun, fast paced environment. Alex, and all of the other therapists, are engaging, upbeat and knowledgeable and it makes for a very positive environment where all the therapists and all of the patients are interacting and working together. I look forward to continuing my recovery and I would and have recommended them to people I know who are looking for physical therapy. And maybe when this is all done get in a gym with Alex and see if I can give him a run for his money.
